PDE Linky Party Ch #140

Hello and Happy Friday! I am so happy that you stopped by my blog today! Are you ready for the weekend? It's going to be a busy one for all of us card makers! World Card Making Day is tomorrow and I plan on getting quite a few cards made!

We have a new challenge up over at PDE Linky Party today. This is the 5th Friday of the month, so our challenge is:

Ch #140 - Anything Goes!

Monthly Schedule

I have created a card for my project this week. I have a friend that was recently diagnosed with breast cancer - in fact she is having surgery for it today. I wanted to send her a card to let her know that I am thinking about her.

I used this older sketch from the Stamping Bella blog. They have a lot of great sketches on their blog!

Be sure to stop by the PDE Linky Party blog to see the wonderful projects from the rest of the team. I look forward to seeing your creations!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope that you have a fabulous Friday!

Paper Play Sketches #16

Hello everyone! Happy Hump Day! We've made it to the middle of the week and heading fast towards the weekend!

We have a new sketch up over at Paper Play Sketches today! This sketch was a lot of fun to work with and I'm sure I will be using it again!

I'm working on using up some of my older Halloween 6x6 paper pads this year, so I used some scraps that I had from Jillibean Soup's Witches Brew pad.

I couldn't believe it, but when I went through my stash of Halloween stamps I don't have hardly any that just say "Happy Halloween" in a nice small size, so I typed up my sentiment on the computer and printed it off.

Stop by the Paper Play Sketches blog to see the cute cards from Janis and Amy. I hope you have some time to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday #290

Happy Tuesday scrappy friends! I hope your day is off to a good start! We are finally experiencing cooler weather and I am loving it! It is so nice to have the windows open and still be nice and cool in the house.

We have a great new sketch for you at Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday today. This week's theme is "The Holidays are Coming!".

I used a couple of older Pink Paislee 6x6 paper pads for this card. The "sentiment" block is from one of the cut apart sheets from one of the pads.

Here is a look at the sketch:

As always, you have two weeks to play along with this sketch, and you can enter either on the blog or on our Facebook page here.

Stay tuned because October at Try Stampin' is going to be a holiday extravaganza as we get ready for the holidays! We've got a lot of fun things planned for you, and hopefully by the end of the month you'll have a good start on your Christmas cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

PDE Linky Party Ch #139

Hello everyone! Here we are at Friday again already! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? We have my nephew's wedding tomorrow, so that's something to look forward to!

New Monthly Schedule

We have a new challenge posted for you today at PDE Linky Party! Since this is the fourth Friday of the month, this week's challenge is:

Ch #139 - Anything But A Card

Your project can be absolutely anything - a scrapbook layout, a pocket style layout, a  pocket letter, a tag, a bookmark, a gift bag, a treat topper...the possibilities are endless!

I have made a title page for my granddaughter's first year 6x8 pocket style album.

I printed the words on a piece of vellum and stapled it to the page. Then, I remembered I had this cute bow die set and I thought it would be a really cute accent. I added a couple of die cut hearts and a pink enamel dot. Clean and simple - just like I like it!

Stop by the PDE Linky Party blog to see the awesome projects from the rest of the team. I hope you play along with us this week - I would love to see your "anything but a card" project.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #82

Hello, hello! I hope your day is off to a good start! Tuesday always seems to be my catch up day - around the house and around the internet - so let's get started!

We have a great new card sketch up over at Sketch N Scrap today. This is the final sketch for September, but you still have until the 30th to play along with any of our challenges!

Here's a look at the sketch - created by Lisa:

I went back and forth with several ideas for this sketch - balloons, my favorite little ghosts down the middle, a Christmas theme - then I remembered this old Close To My Heart snowman stamp that I have (and that I love) and decided to go with a winter theme. (It'll be here before we know it!)

The papers I have used on this card are from Pebbles and I don't know just how old they are, but I found a couple of half sheets in my scrap box and thought they would go perfectly with this stamp!

Be sure to stop by Sketch N Scrap to see the cards from the rest of the team. I do hope you have a chance to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #178

Hi guys! I'm just popping in with a quick card to share with you this afternoon.

The newest sketch has been posted over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge today! Michelle has created another great sketch for us!

I needed a card for my nephew's wedding that is coming up, so I decided to make a "Congratulations" card for him and his new bride! I used Fancy Pants' - Life Is Beautiful - 6x6 paper pad for this card. I added in some silver glittery hearts and some bling from Close To My Heart and called it good!

Check out the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog to see the sketch and read up on the rules. The full design team reveal and last week's Top 3 will be on the blog on Wednesday!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Make It Monday #72 @ The Memory Nest

Hello scrappy friends! Are you ready for a new week? Fall officially begins this week here in the US,  but it looks like the summertime heat will be sticking around here for a bit longer. I don't really mind as summer is my favorite season, but 70's instead of almost 90 would be nice!

Today is Make It Monday at The Memory Nest! This week Katie has created a great sketch for us to work with.

If this photo looks familiar it is because it is the last in series of photos that I scrapped about here. I just couldn't resist scrapping this photo, too. Ada is just so adorable in my reading glasses!

I stuck with paper scraps from Bella Blvd again, and the heart paper is from Crate Paper's Love collection. The wood veneer word was in a package of words that I picked up at Michael's in their $1.50 bin. The perfect title for this photo!

Be sure to stop by The Memory Nest to see the layouts from the rest of the design team. I hope you find some time to play along with us! I can't wait to see your take on the sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Lasting Memories #311 - Show The Direction "In"

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday! I hope that you are having a good weekend. It has been a nice lazy weekend around here and it's felt so good to sleep a little later!

We have a new challenge posted at Lasting Memories today. For September our theme has been "All About Direction" and this week our challenge is "In". Did you jump "in" a pool, camp "in" a tent, sit "in" a floatie? You get the idea!

For my layout I am using some photos of Ada jumping into Pops' arms. She has become quite the daredevil lately, and jumping off of things - the higher, the better for her - is right up her alley! We had to set some rules really quickly! She is not allowed to jump off of anything unless Pops is there to catch her!

All of the papers that I used on this layout came from my 100 Patterned Paper Challenge stack. Two more completely used up, and only a portion of another one left!

Head on over to the Lasting Memories blog to see the rest of the design team's take on this challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Sketches In Thyme #219 - Little Nana

Hello! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! I've got to do a little grocery shopping this morning and then the rest of the weekend is free.

Today is my day to be featured on the Sketches In Thyme blog. This week we are working with a great sketch from Bev.

I love these photos of Ada in my reading glasses! Any time she sees them laying on the table - or anywhere within her reach - she is grabbing them up and wearing them. I love that she puts them on top of her head - just like Nana! She is so stinkin' cute!

I was able to use up another one of my papers from my 100 Patterned Paper Challenge stack on this layout. The greenish blue background was a scrap from that pile. Everything else on this layout is from Bella Blvd, with the exception of the wood veneer, enamel dots, and the scribble die.

Be sure to check out the Sketches In Thyme blog often. There is new inspiration every single day! There is also a great prize being offered this month, so be sure to get your layouts linked up for a chance to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope that you have a great day!

PDE Linky Party - Ch #138 - All Tags

Happy Friday everyone! I hope that you have had a good week and that you are ready for the weekend! Our weekend is starting a little early since there is no school for us today! Gotta love a Friday off!
New Monthly Schedule

Friday means that we have a new challenge up at PDE Linky Party today! This is the third Friday of the month, so that means this week's challenge is:

Ch #138 - All Tags

We want to see your tags this week! They can be any theme as long as they are a tag!

I have created a Halloween tag to attach to some Halloween goodies. I had to use my favorite ghost die again - they are just so darn cute I can't help myself! I also used up some scraps from a couple of cards that I had made earlier in the month. Tags are a great way to use up those scraps!

Stop by PDE Linky Party to see the beautiful tags from the rest of the design team. I look forward to seeing your tags this week!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope that you have a fantastic day!

Christmas Cards All Year Round Mid Month Inspiration

Hello, hello! Can you believe it is already Thursday?! This week is moving right along. Not only is this week going fast, but so is September! We are at the half way point - and that means it's the Christmas Belles turn to be featured at Christmas Cards All Year Round for your mid month inspiration.

Our challenge for September is Shabby Chic or Make it Monochromatic. I have gone with a monochromatic card.

For the strips on my card I used some washi tape and then I had the hardest time finding a red paper that was a match! Why are reds so difficult to match up?! The sentiment is a stamp from Stampabilities. Since I don't have a "real" red ink pad in my stash, I used a brush marker to color over the stamp and then stamped it on. The perfect "red" to match the washi tape!

I hope you stop by the Christmas Cards All Year Round blog to see the beautiful inspiration from the rest of the Christmas Belles! We would love to see you play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Paper Play Sketches #15

Hi guys! I hope your Wednesday is off to a great start! It's already the middle of the week, and my kiddo has Friday off from school, so the weekend for us will be here before we know it!

We have a new sketch posted over at Paper Play Sketches today

I used Pebbles Special Delivery for this card for a new little baby. I used the onesie die from Paper Smooches and I thought the plaid pattern was the way to go! The sentiment if from My Favorite Things - Beautiful Baby - stamp set.

I hope you join us this week at Paper Play Sketches! We would love to see your take on this sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic day!

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday #288

Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday to you! I hope your week is off to a good start!

We have a new sketch up over at Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday today! Our optional theme for this week is "Autumn Colors".

As you can see, I chose not to use the optional theme. I really wanted to make a fall card...it seems like I have just skipped over fall and went straight to Halloween and Christmas this year. I guess I need to buy myself some new fall papers and embellishments, because I just could not get inspired to use what little I have!

The papers on this Christmas card are some of my favorites, but I don't have a clue as to where they are from. I received them in a Christmas goody box from a friend. The colors and the patterns - especially the diamond paper - are right up my alley!

I know I say this a lot, but this sketch will be used again and again by me! It is definitely one of my favorites!

Head on over to Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday to see the cards from the rest of the design team. I do hope that you play along with us this week!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic day!

Stick It Down September Card Reveal

Hello, hello! I am back again with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Sketches In Thyme PL Style reveal, please scroll down or go here.

Today is the full card team reveal over at Stick It Down. Here is a reminder of what this month's sketch looks like:

When I first saw this sketch I really wanted to do some second and maybe third generation stamping to get that ombre look, but in the end I made another Halloween card! For one thing I just can't get enough of this cute little ghost die!

I did pop up a few of the little ghosties to give a little bit of dimension.

Be sure to stop by the Stick It Down blog to see the cards from the rest of the design team members. I hope you find some time to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great day!

Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style Sketch #42

Hello everyone! Happy Monday! It seems like it's been a while since I've posted, but I posted just a couple of days ago.  We had a very busy weekend and I didn't have a lot of opportunity to be online much. I guess that helped to make the weekend feel longer!

I have several projects to share with you today, so let's get started.

Today is my day to be featured over on the Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style blog. This week we are working with a sketch from a - brand new to us - sketch artist - Cherie Averill. Here is a look at the fabulous sketch:

Here is my title card for this sketch:
The left hand side of my layout:

The right hand side of my layout:

Both sides of my layout together:

It seems like it's either feast or famine with my photos for my PL style album. Some weeks I have so many that I can't seem to fit them all in a two page layout, and then there are weeks that I struggle to fill up one side! This was one of those weeks that I had so many that I couldn't fit them all in! In fact, I will be adding an insert to this layout just documenting the photos from the first day of school! Sadly, when I got my photo order, I had forgotten to get a couple of the photos from the first day, so the insert will be shared a little later!

For this layout I used Crate Paper's Wonder collection. I have a lot of the papers from this collection - maybe all of them - but none of the embellishments, so I did a lot of fussy cutting and using the cut apart cards for my embellishments.

We had so many fun things going on this week, and it was so fun to put this layout together. I love the photo of Ada and Willie that is in the bottom left hand corner of the right page. She wanted a toy out of the machines at the grocery store, and the one that she picked was a "splat" toy - you throw it on the floor and it splats out flat before returning to it's original shape. I don't think that either one of them knew what to think about it! I just absolutely love the looks they are both giving!

Be sure to stop by the Sketches In Thyme Project Life style blog for  inspiration every day of the week! Kim is offering a fun stamp set to one lucky winner, so get your layouts linked up!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back soon with another project to share with you!

PDE Linky Party - Ch #137 - All Cards

Hello, hello! Happy Friday to you! I don't know if it's because this week was shorter, thanks to the long Labor Day weekend, or what, but this week just flew by for me!

Here we are at Friday again, and that means we have a new challenge posted over at PDE Linky Party for you today. Since this is the second Friday of the month our challenge is:

Ch #137 - All Cards!

That's right, any type of card that you want to make will work for this challenge!

I have a made a birthday card using the Simple Stories "Let's Party" paper pad that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I must say I was pretty impressed with the quality of the paper in this paper pad. A lot of times it seems like when you buy the paper pad that the paper is pretty thin because it is single sided, but not with this pad. I love the thickness of it!

Don't fall over, but I did not use a sketch for this card. That doesn't happen for me very often! I had a couple of sketches pulled that I thought I could get to work, but in the end it was just easier for me to do my own thing.

Check out the PDE Linky Party blog to see the cards from the rest of the design team. There is a lot of talent and a lot of different styles on this team, so there's something for everyone!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a fantastic Friday!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #176 - Scared Silly

Hello again! I am back with another project to share with you!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge has a new sketch up today on the blog. This is another one of those sketches that I will be using again and again!

I've kind of been in the mood to make Halloween cards lately, so be prepared to see a few over the next few weeks. I have several nieces and nephews that I plan to make a few little treats for, so I'll need to have some cards ready to go!

For this card I used Jillibean Soup's 6x6 paper pad - Witches Brew - and that black piece of paper is by Doodlebug Designs. I'm pretty sure it is from one of their very first collections. I have had it in my stash forever. The ghosts were die cut using a die from Taylored Expressions, and the sentiment is from an older Close To My Heart stamp set - Spook Alley - D1439.

I think this sketch would make a great pocket style scrapbooking card, too. Maybe one of these days I'll find the time to use it that way!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope the rest of your day is great!

The Memory Nest's Make It Monday #71

Hello everyone! Happy Monday! We are enjoying the last day of our long weekend, so our week is already off to a good start!

Today is Make It Monday over at The Memory Nest. We are back to our regular schedule of posting twice a month. Our first sketch of September is courtesy of Leslie.

Wow! Look how little Ada is in these photos! She wasn't quite 6 months old, and she was rockin' the shades!

I kept pretty close to the sketch on this one - only switching the title placement to the top and omitting the other layer under the left photo - I didn't want to cut up that cute XO paper! Speaking of the XO paper - it is another sheet off of my 100 Patterned Paper Challenge stack! The pink grid is the back side of it, so I got more of it used than you think!

Be sure to stop by The Memory Nest to see the layouts from the rest of the team. I hope you play along with us this month!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day - I know I plan to!

LM #309 - Future Hoops Star

Hello friends! We are right in the middle of a long weekend and I am enjoying every minute of it!

It's the start of a new month, and that means we have a new theme and a new set of challenges at Lasting Memories today! For September our theme is - "Direction" - show us what you did this year or what you will do in the year to come based on the direction noted.

This week's challenge is "UP".

My layout is of my oldest son and my granddaughter - who has to be lifted "up" to practice her mad dunking skills - so she can be just like her Uncle Matthew! As you've probably have figured out in past layouts I have made, Ada thinks the sun rises and sets over Matthew. (I'm pretty sure he thinks the same about her!) Anything Matthew does, she is wanting to try and do it, too. I think on this day he lifted her up - what seemed like a hundred times - just so she could make a basket!

Head on over to Lasting Memories and check out the layouts by the rest of the design team, and meet our newest design team member!

I hope you are enjoying the long weekend and actually finding some time to enjoy it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a fabulous day!

PDE Linky Party Ch #136

Hello, hello! Happy Friday! I am so excited to get this day started because once 3:30 hits we are in for a 3 day weekend! I am looking so forward to an extra day off!

We have a brand new challenge for you today over at PDE Linky Party. We are changing things up a bit to hopefully make it a little easier for everyone to play along. Here is our new monthly format:

Since this is the first Friday of the month our challenge is:

Ch #136 - Anything Goes

That means you can do absolutely any type of project and link up with us! It can be a card, a layout, a pocket style scrapbook layout, a tag...absolutely anything!

I have been watching some Halloween card process videos and it got me in the mood to make a Halloween card, so that is what my project is this week.

I used a couple of older Jillibean Soup 6x6 paper pads for this card - Witches Brew (cat paper) and Owloween Stew (stars). My sentiment is from Studio G, and the enamel stars are from Close To My Heart.

I also used this week's sketch from The Paper Players. I love this sketch and will be using it again and again!

I hope you join us this week at PDE Linky Party for our anything goes challenge. We love to see what you create!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous Friday!

What? - Sketch N Scrap #112

Hello everyone! Can you believe it is September 1st? It doesn't seem like no time ago that I was excited about summer vacation starting, and now here we are at September! The summer just seemed to fly by - like it always does.

The first of the month means we have a brand new sketch posted at Sketch N Scrap today. This super fun sketch is brought to us by our fearless leader, Lisa!

I had this series of photos of Miss Ada sneaking in and drinking my coffee that I though would be perfect for this sketch! The look on her face in the first photo just seems to say, "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"! Of course this is really nothing new. She likes to share my coffee with me all the time - never more than a sip or two, and she mostly does it so she can mess with stirring it with the spoon. (I drink iced coffee sweetened with a bit of chocolate milk, so I can't blame her for liking it so much!)

I used Amy Tangerine's Rise and Shine papers for this layout, but the coffee cups, hearts, arrow, and word labels are from Jillibean Soup's Healthy Hello Soup die cut sheet. The colors matched the Rise and Shine collection perfectly.

Head on over to Sketch N Scrap  to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the design team. I hope that you are inspired to play along with us in September!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a great day!
