TSOT #350

Hello, Hello! I am back with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge reveal, please scroll down or go here.

Try Stampin' On Tuesday has a new sketch posted today, courtesy of Vicki, and the optional theme is - smell the goodies.

I tried to incorporate the theme into my card this week, and when I think of "smell the goodies" this time of year, I think of Christmas cookies. and what better cookie than a gingerbread cookie!

The papers are from Pebbles' "Holly Jolly" 6x6 paper pad and the gingerbread man stamp is from an old Studio G $1 bin stamp. The sketch doesn't actually have a spot for an embellishment, but I thought my card was a little plain without it!

Head on over to Try Stampin' On Tuesday to see how the rest of the design team interpreted the sketch. We hope to see you playing along with us - you have 2 weeks to play along and can enter on the blog here or over on our Facebook page here.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a great day!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #240

Hello, everyone! Happy Tuesday to you! I hope that your week is off to a good start.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge has a new sketch posted this week and it is one that is full of possibilities. I know it will be showing up in my December Daily next month, as well.

I have created another Christmas card using this sketch. I loved that the top panel was cut on the diagonal - those sorts of sketches always appeal to me - so I went in search of some fun Christmas papers and when I saw this busy Christmas tree paper I thought it would be perfect for this sketch. Since that paper is on the busy side, I decided not to add any sort of embellishment to the upper left corner - it just got lost in those little trees.

I've used Pebbles' - Holly Jolly 6x6 paper pad (tree paper), Fancy Pants' - Merry and Bright 6x6 paper pad (green dot), and I embossed a piece of white cardstock with my swiss dot embossing folder. The stamps are from Close To My Heart (D1315 Evergreen for the tree and M1155 Merry & Bright for the sentiment). I added a wood veneer star to the top of the tree and that's another Christmas card to be sent out.

Our full design team reveals and our Top 3 announcement for last week's sketch will be tomorrow over on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog, so be sure to stop by and check it out. We hope you have some time to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back soon with another card to share!

HIMCR #328 - Any Holiday

Hello, hello! Happy Saturday to you! I hope you are having a good weekend. We've had a great couple of days off for Thanksgiving and enjoyed lots of fun family time. The fun will continue today when we put up the Christmas tree and decorate the house for Christmas.

But first, we have a new challenge for you today at Hiding In My Craft Room. This week our challenge is - Any Holiday - and our sponsor is My Besties and the giveaway is the images used by the design team.

I have created another Christmas card for this challenge. You would think that I would be tired of Christmas cards by now, but I am still enjoying making them, and it's so nice to have a nice big stack of cards ready to send out this year!

I colored the image with colored pencils, embossed the front panel with my argyle embossing folder and added a scrap piece of Christmas paper. I just love how cute this girl is!

Head on over to Hiding In My Craft Room to see the super cute projects from the rest of the design team.

Our design team is still open until tomorrow, so be sure to check it out as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a great day!

UYS #289 - Thankful

Hello again! I am back with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Stick It Down reveal, please scroll down or go here.

We have a new challenge today over at Use Your Stuff. This week Heather is challenging us to create a project about what we are thankful for.

I always love these types of challenges because I have so much to be thankful for. One thing that I am so thankful for is my good friends and what better time to tell them how much I appreciate them than this time of year. This card will be going in the mail to - hopefully - brighten someone's day.

Head on over to Use Your Stuff to see the beautiful projects from the rest of the design team. We hope you have some time to play along with us this week! We would love to see what you are thankful for!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a great day!

Stick It Down November Card DT Reveal

Hello, hello! Happy Monday to you! I hope that you had a good weekend and are ready for the new week.

Today is the full card design team reveal at Stick It Down. Here's a reminder of what the sketch looks like:

For my card, I decided to dust off my bow die and use it on this card. I don't know why I don't use it more often - I always love the end result!

I used my argyle embossing folder and since the bow was on the bigger side I decided to leave off the sentiment and just stamp something on the inside.

Head on over to Stick It Down to see the wonderful cards from the rest of the design team. You have until the end of the month to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back soon with another project to share with you!

HIMCR #327 - 3X Designer Paper

Hello and Happy Saturday! It's the weekend before Thanksgiving here in the states and I'm sure it will be a busy one! I am really looking forward to spending lots of time with family over the next week.

We have a new challenge today at Hiding In My Craft Room! This week we are challenging you to use 3 different patterned papers on your projects. Your papers can be purchased papers or you can use homemade papers.

Our sponsor this week is Pickled Potpourri and the giveaway is a $7 gift certificate.

We were generously given a few different digi stamps to work with and I chose the Christmas Perky Penguins set.

Isn't that little penguin just the cutest?! I colored the image with my colored pencils and I used 3 different papers from the Holly Jolly 6x6 paper pad from Pebbles. Since there was quite a bit of open space in the upper right-hand corner of my image panel, I printed the sentiment off of my computer and then used my circle die to cut it out. I think it is the perfect place for the sentiment.

Head on over to HIMCR to see the fun cards from the rest of the design team.  We hope you have some time to play along with us this week! We would love to see your take on our 3X the Designer Paper challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Sketches In Thyme #301

Hello, hello! Happy Friday to you! I hope you have had a good week and are ready for the weekend!

Today is my day to be featured over at Sketches In Thyme with my take on sketch #301, courtesy of Brenshevia:

I have had these photos of Ada from Christmas Eve 2015 sitting out on my desk for a while just waiting to be scrapped. This fun sketch was perfect of them. I have used a mix of papers from Bella Blvd's "Christmas Cheer" and "Make It Merry" collections.

My journaling is on the tag that is stuck behind the photos. It says - Ada wasn't too sure about these moving reindeer at Jenny and Art's house. She was quite intrigued by them and kept wanting to go outside and look at them, but she sure didn't want to get too close!

She could barely enjoy the Christmas party for wondering about these deer! I'm sure they were a little strange to her 2 year old mind!

Be sure to check out Sketches In Thyme all month long for more inspiration from the design team. We hope you can find some time to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a fantastic Friday!

Soul Scrappers - Cards of Christmas

Hello again! This is my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Sketches In Thyme PL Style reveal, please scroll down or go here.

Over at Soul Scrappers, we are all about getting those Christmas cards done this month. All month long on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we will be posting a new Christmas card challenge for you. Today is my turn to post the challenge and I am challenging you to add a Santa to your card:

This little Santa is my favorite so far for this year. He is a digi stamp from Limited Runs Digital Stamps and I know this is not the last time you'll be seeing him. I already have plans to use him for a few more projects.

I used Bella Blvd's Holly Jolly Christmas papers for this card. This is the collection that I am using for my December Daily and since I already had the papers out on my desk I put them to use for my card.

Stop by Soul Scrappers and check out the other Christmas card challenges that have been posted. I will have another challenge for you later in the month and I hope to get all caught up with the rest of the challenges, too.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

Sketches In Thyme PL Style #90

Hello and Happy Wednesday! I still cannot believe that next week is Thanksgiving! Time has been a blur since Halloween and I'm sure it will stay that way until the first of the year!

Today we have the mid-month sketch posted over at Sketches In Thyme PL Style. Emma has created a great sketch for us to work with. It shows it being a journaling card, but you could easily add a photo to it instead.

I have been working on my December Daily in every spare minute that I have to try to be ready when the first rolls around. I thought this sketch would make a great journaling card for one of my days. I'm sure I will add a little something more to it - a puffy heart...enamel dots...something, but that will come once the card has the journaling on it.

Head on over to Sketches In Thyme PL Style to see the beautiful inspiration from the rest of the team. Each member has created a little something different to show how versatile these sketches can be. I hope you find some time to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will be back soon with another project to share with you!

Try Stampin' On Tuesday #348

Hello, everyone! Good Tuesday morning to you! I hope that your week is off to a good start.

We have a brand new sketch for you today at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. This week's sketch is courtesy of Vicki and our optional challenge is - from plain to fancy.

For my card, I used the argyle embossing folder for my main panel. I always reach for my swiss dot embossing folder, but made it a point this time to use something different and I love the way that it turned out!

The banner stamp and the sentiment are both from Close To My Heart's - Joyful Tidings Workshop Your Way (B1578) - stamp set. I love this stamp set and I know I will be using it a lot more this holiday season.

Head on over to Try Stampin' On Tuesday to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. I hope you have some time to play along with us! You can link up with our challenge on the blog here or on our Facebook page here. You have two weeks to play along!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #238

Hello again! I am back with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my reveal for The Memory Nest, please scroll down or go here.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge has a great new sketch posted today:

Since I don't have any oval dies or punches, I decided to use this banner stamp and mount it on a piece of patterned paper instead. This stamp set is from Close To My Heart's - Joyful Tidings Workshop Your Way kit - and it is my new favorite! I love the different banner outlines and the sentiments that fit inside. The striped star and the dotty star are from the set as well, and I die cut a couple of silver glitter stars to add a little sparkle to my card.

Be sure to stop by Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge on Wednesday for the full design team reveal and last week's Top 3. I hope you find some time time to play along with us. I would love to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a great day!

Make It Monday #100 at The Memory Nest!!

Hello, everyone! Good Monday morning to you! I hope that you had a good weekend! Mine was filled with catching up on some scrappy projects that I can't wait to share with you!

I'm a little sad writing up this post as The Memory Nest is taking a little break. I have so enjoyed being on the design team and creating with the sketches that Leslie provided for us. Leslie has been a pure joy to work with.

Here's a look at the 100th sketch:

I took these photos of Ada one day while we were waiting for Abby to get off of work. She was looking so cute standing up between the seats and I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of her. I told her to look at me, and she did, but then she looked away right as the camera snapped. So, I tried again - telling her to look at me, and again, she did, but then she looked away right at the last second. I asked her why she kept looking away and she said, "Nana, my eyes just need to look other places!" She is something else!

I have used Dear Lizzy's - Lovely Day - collection for this layout. Most of the embellishments came from Pink Fresh Studios - Dream On - ephemera pack. They were a good match to the colors in the Lovely Day line.

Head on over to The Memory Nest to check out the layouts from the rest of the design team. I hope you get a chance to play along with our last challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope that you have a great day!

HIMCR #326 - Super Scraps Saturday

Hello, again! I am back with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Let's December Daily post, please scroll down or go here.

Today is Super Scraps Saturday at Hiding In My Craft Room! Pull out those scraps and use them on your project. Our sponsor this month is The Cutting Cafe and the prize is 3 sets from their online shop!

I got to work with the assorted banners templates. I don't have a die cutting machine, but these banners are easy to cut freehand - they just may look a little wonky, like mine!

Since I am knee deep in December Daily things, I decided to make a couple of cards to add to my album. The navy blue cardstock, the white cardstock, and the red paper all came from my scrap pile. I'm not sure just yet if I will use the 3x4 card as a journaling card or if I will add a photo to it...we will see once December rolls around!

Head on over to HIMCR to see the projects from the rest of the design team. I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Use Your Stuff #287 - Take 5

Hello, everyone! Good Monday morning to you! Are you ready for the new week? I'm not sure I am, but it's here nonetheless.

We have a new challenge up today at Use Your Stuff. This week Amy is challenging us to "Take 5" - pick 5 things from your stash that has been lost among the collections and use them to create something.

I'm going to be honest here - it's been a rough few days around here. My youngest son that has autism has had a rough time at school this past week or so. It's gotten to the point of us looking into what other options we have, and that has consumed most of my time and sucked the creativeness right out of me. I've missed my creative time - it is a stress reliever for me - and I decided I needed to get back in my craft room and get something made!

I've been going through my stash for my December Daily album and I came across these metal stockings from Making Memories. I've probably had these since 2003 or 2004. Perfect for this challenge don't you think?! My 5 items are - a 6x6 paper pad from Simple Stories that I haven't used in a year or two, these metal stockings, a stamp from Close To My Heart that hasn't seen the light of day for a good 3 years, a circle punch (I tend to use my dies more than my punches lately), and when I used the punch it didn't make a clean punch, so I used my edge distresser to make it look intentional!

Head on over to Use Your Stuff to see the projects from the rest of the design team. Why don't you pick out 5 forgotten items in your stash and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a great day!

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #109

Hello everyone! Good Sunday morning to you! I hope you are having a good weekend.

We have a new card sketch posted today at Sketch N Scrap. Heather has created a great sketch for us to work with.

I have created yet another Christmas card! I think this tree stamp that I pulled out of my stash must be my go-to stamp this year. I'm sure you will be seeing it again before the holidays.

I changed things up a bit from the sketch, but you can definitely still see it in my card. The paper is from Crate Paper's Peppermint 6x6 paper pad.

Head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. We hope to see you playing along with us this month.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Let's December Daily!

Hello, everyone! I am super excited to be joining the Let's December Daily design team! I have been wanting to complete a December Daily for a few years now, and I have even gotten as far as creating a title page, but then I let the busyness of the season, and life in general, take over and it gets pushed aside to be completed later. Not this year! I am going to make the time to get our December documented - and having a deadline doesn't hurt!

We will all be creating three different types of December Dailies and we hope to inspire you to create along with us! I look forward to sharing my process with you over the next couple of months and I can't wait to see what you create.

LTSCB #103 - Anything Goes

Hello, again! I am back with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges reveal, please scroll down or go here.

The first of the month means a new challenge is up at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog. This month our challenge is "Anything Goes"!

For November I had the pleasure of working with a digital image from Limited Runs Stamps. Since Christmas is quickly approaching, I chose to work with the Mini Santa digital stamp set.

I am totally in love with this little guy! He is just so stinkin' cute and I know he will be popping up on more cards and probably even in my December Daily album this year!

I used my Prima watercolor pencils to color this image, and it's hard to see in the photo, but I added some Wink Of Stella to his gloves, coat, and hat to add a little sparkle to this lil' cutie.

The papers are from an old Paper Studio 6x6 paper pad and the sentiment is an old Studio G $1 bin stamp.

Be sure to stop by the LTSCB to see the beautiful projects from the rest of the design team. Why don't you play along with us in November?

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I will be back soon with some exciting news to share with you!
